Though Public Mind is Nehemiah抯 first solo release, it is not Nehemiah抯 l

Nehemiah had recorded his first song by the age of 12 and at the age of 15 \~DM  
he headlined his first concert in his hometown of Portland, Oregon with p]gT&[iJ  
the proceeds going toward teenage victims of domestic violence.  It was :E_a0!'  
after that concert that Nehemiah was convinced that he wanted to pursue F4C!CUI

This pursuit has had its ups and downs but each one of them has shaped SaDA`JmO  
who Nehemiah is today, both as an artist and as a person.  The highlights "lVqU  
of Nehemiah抯 early career included an appearance in the motion picture l|"6yB |  
Reggie抯 Prayer, starring the late football star Reggie White.  In [M+tB"_  
addition, Nehemiah appeared on a nationally syndicated talk show, took F:g=i}7  
his live show to Canada, and opened up for the famed R&B/Gospel group, c:4P%({  
Virtue.  The experiences of his teenage years opened the door for _eQ-`?  
Nehemiah to later join Soul, a contemporary gospel group signed to a E`;;&V q-  
subsidiary of the Hendrix record label.  This release spent 9 weeks on 5J.0&Dda  
the Billboard gospel charts and peeked at number 36.  Though the group 3MBN:dbQ  
was short-lived it provided Nehemiah the opportunity to tour the states |D#2GeBw1h  
and establish relationships that would bear fruit in the years to come. v}(6 <wnnS

After briefly filling the lead vocalist spot in a group with producer HR cDkV;$  
Crump (Beyonce), Nehemiah decided to focus on developing his solo project.   jgu*Y{ocm  
His debut solo album, Public Mind, is the product of all of his life -"TR\/  
experiences, both good and bad.  The mid-tempo track 揟hat Person?is a Oe!6){OG)  
celebratory autobiographical account of all that happened to Nehemiah as zr_yO`{  
he recognized all that Jesus Christ is.  Another personal song, 揊ly Away,? Y "jE'  
was written for his daughter, Amiah, who died several weeks after being .zj0Jy8N  
born.  It is songs like these that helped the album find its title.   HEF?mD3h  
Nehemiah explains, 揟he title of the album is intended to communicate on ^4>k%d  
two levels.  First, I wanted to emphasize that I identify with my audience.   X9=N%GY[  
The things that they struggle with, I struggle with.  The things that \Owp

trouble them, trouble me.  Second, I wanted to show that this album is not v/Pw9j!r;m  
simply a collection of songs, it is a window into my mind and life which I <PD?f/4 /

the disc himself while also teaming with producers and songwriters Derek a:Q[gF

is nothing about Nehemiah抯 debut that sounds like the independent project 0D&>Gyc*0  
it truly is.  But while people will definitely respond to the impressive X`r*ob  
vocals and banging tracks Nehemiah hopes they will especially be drawn to

the stories.  揝ome of these songs are birthed out of experiences I抳e "M H6fF

Not all people will be able to relate to the exact details of every song but UE0$ o?
