[分享]英国留学新规定：ATAS 审查

英国内务部推出新规定，从2007年11月30日起，来自非欧洲经济区(non-EEA)的留学生在报读某些学科课程的研究生时，必须通过一道附加的审查。这项名位 ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme)的审查由英国外交部进行，申请人在得到大学入学通知书后，可通过英国外交部网站的网上申请表格递交申请。申请过程免费，时间为不超过3周。

除了个人资料和课程代码外，申请人必须提交配偶、学历、雇主等资料。ATAS 是英国反恐战略下加强对外国留学生审查的步骤之一，所涉及的课程都属于理工生物等学科。ATAS 与就读院校直接挂钩，如果申请人转换院校，必须重新申请 ATAS。目前在读的学生在11月30日后延签也需要先获得ATAS。
